Corey Helford Gallery group exhibition "Giants among us"

Ever since the very beginnings of story-telling and literature, mankind has been fascinated by giants. From the Norse Gods through Goliath through the most popular fairy tales of our childhoods, giants have recurred as the objects of fear and respect, making us feel small in their shadow and huge in our overcoming of them. The artists’ interpretations of the theme are as diverse as they are. Some artists have followed a more literal path, for example, Eric Joyner’s painting depicts a battle between a giant glazed donut and police helicopters over Central Park, while other artists have chosen to explore a more cerebral path. The opening reception for “Giants Among Us” will be hosted on Saturday, September 20, 2014, from 7-10pm at CHG Circa. The reception is open to the public, and the exhibition is on view through October 4, 2014. Featuring works by:
