Galeria Funart presents group exhibition “Low to Pop”

Low to Pop is a Galeria Funart and artist Paul Neberra’s project that aims to divulge in Portugal (Europe) the artistic work of the Lowbrow and Pop Surrialism art movement. Through the frequent production of exhibitions of authors connected to this universe, we aim to expose the Portuguese public to this style of art and it’s artists, which bit by bit have gained importance internationally.

The exhibition will be on view from 16th October through to 21st December, 2015 at Funarte Gallery / Lx Factory, Rua Rodrigues de Faria 103, 1300 Lisboa, Europe.
 
In the first Low to Pop exhibition a diverse set of artists were exhibited: Audrey Kawasaky, David Bray, Duma, Gabriel Garcia, Junko Mizuno, Kelly Vivanco, Kerstin Junker, Luciano Martinez, Paul Neberra, Sandi Calistro, Stella Im Hultberg, Scott Rohlfs, Tamara Alves, Wue Wang, Young Chun, Zoe Lacche and 64 Colors.

It’s in the year 1846 that a threads and fabrics Company called “Companhia de Fiação e Tecidos Lisbonense”, one of the most important manufacturing complex in Lisbon’s history, sets in Alcântara.
